Candidate Statement:
Prior to my election, I had extensive trial experience as a Federal Prosecutor and as an attorney in private practice. I am the only member of my court to have both prosecuted and defended criminal and civil cases to jury verdict.
I further served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps with 29 years service, retiring in 1998 as a Colonel, USMCR Ret. While on this Court, I have authored approximately 800 judicial opinions and participated in thousands more.
In every case I strive to decide cases fairly and impartially to protect our liberty. I am honored that many fine lawyers and retired appellate judges, including former Chief Justices I. Beverly Lake and Burley Mitchell, have endorsed me for re-election.
If I am privileged to be re-elected, I pledge to continue to administer law in an even-handed manner. I need and appreciate your vote on
Election Day.
