| Candidate Statement:
My name is T.J. Rohr, and I'm running for District Attorney of the 25th Judicial District. I am currently serving my second term as a Lenoir City Council member.
A District Attorney has a responsibility to see that justice is done. I am also aware that all State agencies, including the District Attorney's Office, are operating on limited budgets. Therefore, it is very important for the District Attorney to use each and every dollar, and all of the limited resources at his disposal, as efficiently as possible to keep us safe in our homes, on the streets, and behind the wheel. As your District Attorney, I will fairly and ethically pursue justice against those who commit violent crimes, crimes against property, and those who would endanger us on the roads.
The residents of our three counties deserve a District Attorney who stands for honesty, integrity, fairness, and justice. As a member of the Lenoir City Council for more than six years, I have proven myself as a man who stands for the principles of limited government, and who will not compromise those principles regardless of who might oppose him. As my campaign slogan has been, "He Knows It's Your Money."
I have served in the criminal courts of Catawba, Caldwell, and Burke Counties for more than fifteen years. I have tried numerous cases of all different sorts in District and Superior Court. I have the experience necessary to make sure that the cases my office pursues are properly investigated and prosecuted, and to make sure that the guilty are tried aggressively but fairly, within the bounds of the Constitution and the laws of North Carolina.
