Judge Gregory was born on April 21, 1966, in Emporia, Virginia to the parents of Louis and Iliga Gregory. The eldest of four, Judge Gregory spent his formative years in Williamsport, Pennsylvania until the age of 15 when he and his family moved to Fairfax County, Virginia.

After graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in 1984, Judge Gregory matriculated to the University of Virginia where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology in 1988. In 1994 Judge Gregory received his juris doctorate from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina.

He began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Cumberland County and then worked for four years as a Wake County Assistant District Attorney.

After working as a public defender and prosecutor, Judge Gregory then went on to have great success as a solo practitioner as a criminal defense attorney. He subsequently expanded his practice and formed the Gregory & McClinton law firm, where he served as the senior partner until being appointed as a judge. Judge Gregory is an active member on several boards and committees in the community.

He is currently on the Wake County Bar/10th Judicial District Bar Board of Directors, Wake County Fire Commission, North Carolina State Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee Board Member, 10th Judicial District Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Committee Member, REENTRY, Incorporated Board and has served on the N.C Rules Review Commission and the N.C. General Statutes Commission.

Judge Gregory is a past member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Cary, North Carolina and is a current member of World Overcomers in Durham, North Carolina. He resides in Raleigh, North Carolina and is father to Carter, his son from his former marriage.

My name is Keith Gregory and I am asking for your support to retain my seat on the District Court bench.

After being appointed to the District Court bench earlier this year, I have worked tirelessly to serve as a fair and impartial judge. I believe my background as a public defender, prosecutor, solo practitioner, and criminal defense attorney has prepared me well to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to me by the citizens of Wake County and the judicial system.

Over the course of this campaign I want to make sure that the citizens of Wake County are given the opportunity to learn more about me and make your own judgment about my future on the bench during this year's election.

In order to achieve this goal, I have visited with, and continue to visit, numerous groups and organizations across our county.
