Candidate Statement:

Pat is a conservative Republican and a public servant for all citizens of Carteret and Jones counties.  Her conservative values focus on Respect for Life, Respect for the Constitution, Personal responsibility, and a smaller government that allows North Carolinians to hold on to their hard earned money.  She believes that our jobs come from small businesses and that more should be done to protect those jobs by lowering taxes on businesses and stopping the "over regulation" of these businesses.  She believes that North Carolina should be focused on education and that includes charter schools.

Pat has always supported zero based budgeting which would require every state funded program to be justified. Pat says that it is time to tighten the state budget as so many of our taxpayers are tightening their own family budgets during these tough economic times.  She also believes that the State must save more in the "rainy day" fund because we should always be prepared for difficult fiscal times.
