Candidate Statement:

North Carolina is facing some difficult situations with revenues being down.  With many important issues facing us, I believe my qualifications will serve this District and State well.  I serve as Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee as well as Vice-Chair of Finance Committee, Vice-Chair Rules and many other committees.

My business background as a Retail Food Merchant is also helpful in working with many people and my Company has created thousands of jobs for the people in our area.  The good folks of this area have supported me and this allowed me to move up in leadership in the House.  As a life long resident of Columbus County, I think I know the needs of our area and I feel this District needs experienced representation.  I look forward to working hard to represent our people in the next session of the General Assembly.
