| Candidate Statement:
"North Carolina is headed in the wrong direction. As a father, I'm concerned about how increased government debt will affect my children's future and yours. As a business person I'm concerned about our economy and the loss of jobs in our State.
As a Morrisville Councilman, I have proven record of voting against tax increases and reckless spending. I want to bring that same conservative philosophy to the State House.
My top priority is to help businesses create jobs and make North Carolina competitive again. In 2009, the Democrat-controlled Legislature increased taxes by $1.3 billion. Over the past 10 years, the state's budget grew by 81%; this is 22% faster than inflation and population growth combined. From 2000 to 2008, government debt has soared to $6.7 billion. This cycle of job-killing tax hikes, out of control spending and ever increasing debt must stop!
We need proven leaders committed to fiscally responsible government, cutting wasteful spending, and focusing on our top priorities. I need your vote for all North Carolina families."
