For about forty years Edwards has been in and out of the public service in a variety of positions. This includes being a public service employee to being appointed to a number of boards, committees and task forces. There have been a number of consultant management contracts by the firm that he owned. The primary consulting areas were government administration, government regulation and commercial economic development.
