Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):

Beth Jones is a veterinarian in Lenoir, NC, and she has owned her own business for over eleven years.  She is married to Dan Jones, also a veterinarian, and they have two children in the public schools.

Beth is active in the community serving as a longtime volunteer for the March of Dimes and a trustee at Caldwell Community College. She has also served on the Caldwell County Board of Health.  In addition to her Doctorate in veterinary medicine, she also holds a Masters in Public Administration.

She is running because she believes we need a stronger cooperation between our state and local leaders to bring sustainable jobs and quality education to our district.  She also believes we need a leader who will protect what we do well and help change what isn't working.  As a business owner, she understands the importance of efficiency and accountability, and she plans to take this perspective to Raleigh.
