Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):

I grew up in Hillsborough NC. I attended Orange County Schools before I left for NCSSM. My dad is an engineer and my mom was a housewife. I have been married for 13 years to the former Angela Meeks. We have a ten year old son. I have had the honor of being his baseball coach and his flag football assistant coach.

I am a former prosecutor and current defense attorney. I have tried over 100 major felony jury trials. I have handled more than 50 murder cases. I attended NCSSM, Morehouse College, the University of London and the University Of Texas School of Law( one of the top fifteen law schools in the country).

I have practiced law in New York, Maryland, DC, and NC (where I grew up). I have handled every type of case from products liability to personal injury to shoplifting to capital murder. My practice is a heavy trial practice in both the state and federal courts.

Lastly, I have been endorsed by two retired judges in this race.

Candidate Statement:

I am the only candidate in the race that has been both a prosecutor and defense attorney. I'm also the only one who has practiced outside of the state of North Carolina. Why is that important? I bring a perspective that none of the other candidates can. I have handled over 100 major felony trial and over 50 murder cases. I'm the only candidate who is actively defending capital murder cases. I have been endorsed by two retired judges as well.
