Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):
Bill Randall is the 2010 Conservative challenger for North Carolina's 13th Congressional District. A twenty-seven year Navy veteran, he again wants to serve his country during this time of financial unrest and decreasing principled leadership in Washington D.C.
Growing up New Orleans' hard scrabble, Lower Ninth Ward, Bill knows first-hand about the devastating impact caused by wasteful government programs and indifferent politicians. Nevertheless, Bill's parents instilled in him a love God, family and country, as well as a keen sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
High school and Naval Junior ROTC graduation was followed by a distinguished, decorated twenty-seven year Navy career, which included achieving Command Master Chief: CMC (E-9) - the highest "non-commissioned officer" rank.
CMC Randall's military career gave him an expansive education in military and veterans affairs, warfare, preparedness, armaments, climatic, oceanographic and environmental knowledge, mid-east culture and personal contacts.
He was also a small business owner and an Independent Insurance Agent and worked for for the Department of Veterans Affairs processing VA Pension claims. From July '02 to May '05 he worked doggedly to eliminate red tape and ensured that veterans received maximum benefits.
Bill served for six months as an associate minister at a non-denominational church in Pensacola, FL before securing a job as a Field Service Agent (Generalist) for a major management consulting firm. In this capacity, Bill cultivated relationships with thousands of small to medium-sized businesses in every major industry and broadened his perspective on what it takes to manage and grow small business, grow our economy and initiate steps which create sustainable, well-paying jobs.
Bill's academic achievements are a bachelor's degree in Business Management, and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Bill has a son (William III), and four daughters (Cherita, Katherine, Gabrielle and Isabel). He and his wife (Wendy) reside in Wake Forest, NC.

| Candidate Statement:
I'm honored to be the Republican nominee for Congress in North Carolina's 13th Congressional District. In these troubled times, we need clear and visionary leadership to set the right priorities and agenda for our nation's future.
I am profoundly concerned that our Constitution is ignored and under attack because we are limiting our cherished liberty and freedoms. Excessive federal control of our lives is undemocratic. I will fight this assault on the birthright of this country.
Congress has lost the confidence of this generation by recklessly pursuing flawed and ineffective legislation, irresponsible spending, political payoffs and earmarked paybacks. It also has turned a deaf and indifferent ear to the will of the people.
I intend to change that -- by holding the man in my mirror accountable to God and my constituents each day in elected office.
My campaign slogan: "From the People, For the People" will be more than a motto. The top priorities I will address are: 1) revitalizing jobs and the economy; 2) reducing the size of government as well as eliminating unnecessary government regulations, and 3) repealing the so-called health care bill that was passed only through bribery, lies and propaganda.
Finally, I offer the template I will use to determine if a bill is worthy of my support. I call it my "C.A.N.E." principle:
C - is it Constitutional?
A - is it Affordable?
N - is it Necessary?
E - and is it Ethical?
All legislation must meet all four criteria in order to get my support.
We look with anticipation to Election Day, but realize that much work lies ahead. With this in mind, I ask for your prayers, your volunteering, your vote, and your financial support.
Sincere thanks to each of you. Let's work to preserve this great Republic!
-- Bill
