Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):

Tim was born into a family of modest means in Darby, PA.  He joined the U.S. Army where he trained as an Infantryman and Parachute Rigger.  He became a member of the U.S. Army's elite Parachute team, the Golden Knights. Upon leaving the parachute team he became a military freefall Instructor with the U.S. Army Special Warfare Center.  In 1985, he was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

After leaving the military, Tim started a small company in North Carolina focusing on parachuting equipment.  This company eventually closed due to military cuts and the economic downturn.

Tim picked himself up and started a company which operated from the living room of his home. This company grew from its origination as Timco to become Paraclete Armor and Equipment Inc., which employed over 300 people.  He eventually sold the business and started several new small businesses, including operating the world's largest freefall simulator wind tunnel, Paraclete XP SkyVenture.

Five generations of the D'Annunzio family live and work together in Raeford, Hoke County.  Tim and his wife, Colleen, are both U.S. Army veterans. Tim is a caring son who provides love and support for his mother and 94 year old grandmother.  His oldest child, Joseph, is a veteran of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and presently manages Tim's aircraft business.  Son John is married with one child and manages another of Tim's businesses, Paraclete XP SkyVenture.  Daughters Charlotte and Lauren attend college and work with Tim part-time.  The two youngest children, Josh and Sarah, are home schooled by Colleen and Tim.

They are loyal members of Rockfish Church and are involved in several charities including hosting and sponsoring "Jump for the Cause" to fight breast cancer, the Warrior Foundation, and The Rockfish Camp for hearing impaired.

I am a Conservative Republican, and proud of it.  I'm not a politician and never will be.  I'm a successful small businessman who loves this great country and is fearful that the very foundation of our nation is being eroded.  My wife Colleen and I have been able to accomplish a great deal through hard work and perseverance because of the freedom and blessings of liberty secured for every American by the Constitution. 

My Parents, like every American parent, worked and sacrificed so that I could have a better life.  They couldn't guarantee my success and I've been knocked down along the way.  But as my parents taught me, I always went back to work pursuing my dream.

Now my six children deserve the opportunity to be all that they can be.  However, our government seems to be on the course to destroy the American Dream.  Washington is spending money we don't have at an alarming rate, mortgaging the future of our children.

Therefore, I've decided to do something about it.  I've defended my country though military service now I intend to defend the Constitution by taking the fight to Washington.

Smaller government based on Constitutional principles, individual freedom, and a strong military are the most important tenets that strengthen and contribute to the success of our great nation.  I will stand rock solid these principles.
