Featured architects include: Alexander Jackson Davis, builder of the Capitol in Raleigh and the Old Playmakers Theatre on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Julian Abele, who designed much of East Campus and West Campus at Duke University; Richard Sharp Smith, a designer of dozens of renowned buildings in Asheville; and George Matsumo, considered a father of N.C.
