Warm Up Sctivities
Hines:
Today we will use J.J. the Jet Plane and some of our PBS friends to increase our steps and interactivity. Let’s warm up our bodies by doing 10 windmills, 10 jumping jacks, 10 toe touches and even some stretches. Join us.
Hines:
We are thinking about our healthy bodies. I am going to ask all of you to make, to do 10 windmills. You know what the windmill is, the thing where you know you are doing this kind of thing with your arms? So let’s see if we can do 10 windmills. Are you ready, set, go. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Now let’s do it the other way. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Okay, let’s do 10 jumping jacks. Now if you have a medical problem and you cannot jump, don’t feel like you have to, okay? Oh good you moved out, good. Okay, ready, set, jump. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Now I’m jumping on one foot because I broke this one a while back and so I don’t want to re-injure it, so I want to make sure I am careful. I am—that’s good though that I was able to jump on one foot. Okay now let’s touch our toes. You ready, set, touch, go. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
