Workshop Recap
Hines:
Today we covered a great deal of information. We learned that obesity and becoming overweight has become a growing epidemic. Participants reviewed objectives, discussed the learning triangle educational philosophy which is read, view, and do, explored many movement activities such as stretching, jumping, walking, looked at books, and participated in many movement activities including songs on walking and so much more.

Now again this is a workshop that basically could be more than an hour but we wanted to make sure that we stayed within our hour time. There is so much information in here for you I just can’t even tell you how much more there is. We, you have in—I am going to do this. I am going to ask you to complete an evaluation. And here is the evaluation. Ms. Regina can you come get this evaluation please? And Ms. Regina will pass out the evaluation to you. This is so you can get daycare credit from the Division of Child Development for the two hours that I have been here today, one hour earlier this morning and then one hour for this workshop. And if you will complete that evaluation, once you have completed your evaluation then you get to take one of the J.J. the Jet Plane finger puppets home with you to help you remember to be fit and to exercise more. So this is Snuffy. And you put your fingers in here. Snuffy always has a little stuffy nose but he loves to exercise and this is Tracy. And Tracy is J.J.’s best friend. So you get to take one of these home. Evaluation over here.
