Join host
Shannon Vickery and her guests in this show focusing on chronic
lung disease and diabetes. For the first half hour, six guests
will discuss chronic lung disease. What are the major lung
diseases? What causes them? And who is at risk? Panelists
also explain the meaning of the different statistics on lung
diseases. Part of this segment will be devoted to the discussion
of asthma and emphysema, both of which are the leading lung
diseases in the South.
Panelists
will also discuss prevention and treatment of lung disease:
how or if lung disease can be prevented and what kind of treatment
is available.
Diabetes
takes the second half of the show with some startling statistics
on how many cases are undiagnosed. In addition to discussing
who is at risk, these guests explain the causes and symptoms
of diabetes and what to do for suspected diabetes.
Can the
two types of diabetes be prevented? Panelists will discuss
how to minimize the risk, treatment options and current research.
