Shannon Vickery, Host

Shannon Vickery hosts a panel of health experts providing advice and information about North Carolina's most pressing health issues. The first three call-in programs will focus on the leading causes of death in North Carolina, while the final show in the series will take an overall look at the state's biggest health issues.

The four topics include cardiovascular disease and stroke, cancer, lung disease and diabetes, and a North Carolina health report card. Information on each show can be found by clicking on the links at the left.

All of these programs are also part of HealthWise, a UNC-TV initiative that combines programming, outreach and information in an ongoing effort to improve the health of North Carolina residents.
