Program Description

This past February, in partnership with the Institute for Emerging Issues, UNC-TV brought coverage of the 20th Annual Emerging Issues Forum to viewers across North Carolina on digital channel UNC-NC. The forum attracted international, national and statewide experts—including Bill Clinton, Newt Gingrich and former Health & Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson—discussing the impact of healthcare issues on citizens and, in turn, on the state’s fiscal fitness.

Now all North Carolinians can see highlights from this two-day conference as UNC-TV presents Focus On…Making Healthcare Work in North Carolina, an in-depth look at the state of the state’s health and opportunities for improvement.
