A native of North Carolina, Jackie has shared her colorful and playful stories on albums and television, as well as in Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and Wolftrap. Her stories often include Br'er Rabbit, giants, ghosts and ordinary people. One of the revivers of the modern urban legend, Jackie is also an NSA Circle of Excellence Award recipient.
