Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle is an edible plant with a mildly sweet taste. Only the Japanese variety is edible; other flowers are not. The plant grows on roadsides, along fences or in abandoned fields.

Jewelweed

Also called Touch-me-not, jewelweed has gotten a reputation for healing the rash from poison ivy or poison oak, along with other types of skin rashes.

Pansy

The flowers are edible and have a slight wintergreen flavor.

Sunflower

Sunflower seeds are sold in grocery stores. The seeds can be baked and then salted, and eaten by themselves or with a trail mix or cereal.
