Post Workshop Activity
Use what you learned at the workshop to plan and teach an outdoor, inquiry-based lesson to your students. You may use one of the activities we did during the workshop, one of the lessons provided in the resource binder, or you can create your own lesson. Once you have completed the lesson, please fill out this questionnaire. In order to get credit for a full 10-hour workshop for CEU's or EE Certification, you will need to send in this form to the Office of Environmental Education. We'll sign off on it and return it to you with an updated certificate.
Give a description of the outdoor, inquiry-based lesson you conducted.
How much time did you spend outdoors with your students for this activity?
What about the lesson went well?
What about the lesson would you change?
How would you rate your students' interest in the lesson?
Higher than normal -- Same as other lessons -- Lower than normal
How would you rate your students' behavior during the lesson?
Better than usual -- Same as usual -- Worse than usual
Did you notice any differences in behavior or interest level in certain individual students? If so, please describe them.
Do you feel that the workshop helped you discover new ways to integrate environmental education into your curriculum? Please explain.
What outdoor, inquiry-based lesson are you planning next?
