UNC-TV has always been a leader in interactive and social media, and now UNC-TV Interactive allows viewers like you to lead the way--like never before!
UNC-TV Interactive is an online portal to an array of social media services designed to connect viewers like you with the public television programs, content and resources you want. From fan-friendly blogs by UNC-TV personalities to PBS documentary discussion boards and internet activities, to social networking sites linking public television-savvy audiences, UNC-TV Interactive has something for you!
Social media--blogs, forums, live discussions, groups, social networks, video and photo sharing sites--expand our online presence and UNC-TV Interactive is UNC-TV's online laboratory--providing us with a great opportunity to let viewers and Web users get involved in new and exciting ways--commenting on programs, discussing the issues they raise, speaking directly to producers, rating what’s on the air and online, forming fan groups, and becoming a part of an ever-growing list of online, interactive services.
In 2008, the National Center for Media Engagement found that UNC-TV was in the top 12% of television websites with the most social media tools. Today, UNC-TV has even more tools in its interactive arsenal, not only providing UNC-TV's audiences with a vast array of social networking services, but also acting as a primary source for educating web audiences in North Carolina, and beyond, about the latest in Web 2.0 technology and content.
