The Raulston Allspice is the result of a hybrid cross between two plants: calycanthus floridus Carolina Allspice (native to North Carolina) and sinocalycanthus sinensis Chinese Wax Plant from Asia. The Raulston Allspice was created at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC.
