Scientific Name: 
Salvia ‘Phyllis Fancy’

This is a hybrid salvia from the University of California at Santa Cruz Arboretum.   It is a cross between salvia leucantha and salvia chiapensis

Flowers: 
long purple spikes of light lavender flowers; each spike is held in a bi-color calyx that is purple on top and green on the bottom
Flowers early September through the first killing frost

Growth:  
5-7ft tall

Use:
mixed border, perennial border

Other:  
strong stem, does not flop                 
attracts bees and butterflies
