In 2006, UNC-TV and the North Carolina Center for Voter Education presented Judge for Yourself specials—NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Candidates and NC Court of Appeals Candidates. In each half-hour episode, Chris Heagarty, the Executive Director of the North Carolina Center for Voter Education joined UNC-TV's own Shannon Vickery for the unique opportunity to hear from all of the local candidates in each important local judicial race.
