I'm so excited to tell you about
the Greensboro Children's Museum located at 220 North Church
Street in downtown Greensboro. It's a huge museum that looks
more like a huge playground!! I had the best time during my
recent visit. There is an area filled with all sorts of moving
and shaking machines like a real fire truck and a real police
car, and you can even board the cockpit of a DC-9 jet. What's
even better, you can play in them. I sat in the pilot's seat
of the jet and "flew" the airplane via computer
flight simulation.
There is also a place in the museum called the
Bubble Gallery. This is where you can make huge bubbles. Listen
to how it works: you step into a hoop that creates a giant
bubble around you. My tail always got in the way, though,
but I doubt you will have the same problem.
Greensboro Children's Museum also has a mini-area
with a grocery store where you can pretend to buy groceries
like your parents do, a music room where you can make music
and a construction zone where you can pretend to build a house.
Off to another great place!
