Discovery Place
Hey Kids !

What an awesome place I visited! The Discovery Place is an amazing hands-on science museum in Charlotte!! If you have not been, ask your parents if you can take a trip to this museum. If you can get there over your Winter Break you can see a wonderful traveling exhibit that is only at The Discovery Place until January 1.

The Theme Park: The Art & Science of Universal Studios Island of Adventure exhibition shows how the thrills, the chills, the hills and the splashes all make going to the theme park a memorable experience and how the designers make it so exciting. This exhibit is divided into six components that explains everything from what keeps the public coming back for more to why roller coasters continue to be the main attraction to theme parks. It is a great exhibit!

If you can, you should get to this ever-changing, entertaining facility that provides experiences in areas that range from life science to space exploration.
Off to another fantastic place!

If you can’t make a trip to the Discovery Place, it’s possible to visit with the aid of a computer.

The Discovery Place main Web site is, www.discoveryplace.org, which provides general information about the museum and how to plan your visit or call the museum at 1-704-372-6261.

Discovery Place is open
Monday-Friday 10 AM-5 PM,
Saturday 10 AM-6 PM and Sunday 1-5PM.
