Kids who visit Durham County Library South Regional now have a fun, new way to gain reading skills. This week, UNC-TV's own Read-a-roo

skills at home, at school, in child care centers and in the community.
The Library Corner is a special spot in the library that gives children and families the opportunity to strengthen
early literacy skills through engaging, multi-media platforms. The Library Corner includes two pull-up shades, a PBS KIDS Raising Readers rug, DVDs, and printed resources. The materials are designed for children 2 to 8 years old,
and they include interactive reading activities featuring PBS characters from Sesame Street, Word World, Super Why!, Between the Lions, Martha Speaks and The Electric Company.
The Library Corner will move from library to library so that children throughout the state can enjoy it. Parents and children can visit the Library Corner at South Regional through April 2011.
