If you haven’t been, you need to check this place out! SciWorks makes it so much fun to learn all about science. You can travel through the solar system in the planetarium or visit the white-tailed deer, wild ducks and river otters in the 15-acre Environmental Park.
The natural woodlands throughout the park as well as the native gardens attract wild visitors such as songbirds, raptors, squirrels, groundhogs, and even a resident pair of gray foxes!
The mission of SciWorks is to promote scientific literacy, life-long learning and an appreciation of the sciences by providing innovative educational and recreational experiences for all people through interactive programs and exhibits, collections, an environmental park and unique facilities. SciWorks is located on county property and as a result, Forsyth County school children with their school class are admitted free to the park and exhibit halls. School groups are offered classes that are curriculum-based and enhance their classroom studies.
I hope you get to visit the museum soon!
Off to another great place!
