Dr. Jones, director of the North Carolina Zoological Park, guides you through the high stakes at risk if we fail to protect the environment as part of economic development. This all-new UNC-TV documentary, premiering Wednesday, November 15, at 9 PM, invites you to make the connection between environmental quality and your life. Then, at 10 PM, join a panel discussion exploring both sides of the issues addressed in this all-new documentary in the Making Connections: Piece by Piece.

In anticipation of the documentary’s premiere, North Carolina People host William Friday sits down with Dr. Jones, Friday, November 10, at 9 PM, to delve into the Dr. Jones’ interest in natural resource management alongside economic development. And throughout the week, at 7:30 PM, UNC-TV’s weeknightly information series North Carolina Now will highlight the links between citizens’ well being, the economy and the environment.

Thursday, November 16, at 8 PM, join host Christine Rogers for the UNC-TV special, HealthWise: The Environment & Health. During this hour-long program, a panel of experts from across North Carolina examines the many programs underway across the state to address the possible link between environmental factors and disease.
