Author, NC Bookwatch Excerpt: "Serena"
North Carolina Bookwatch Host D.G. Martin has a conversation with author Ron Rash about his new book "Serena." The story centers around Serena Pemberton who came to the North Carolina mountains in 1929 with her newlywed husband George to create a timber empire. Her husband has an affair that led to the birth of a son. Serena sets out to kill the child which leads to several twists and turns to the story. Mr. Rash's entire interview can be seen on Sunday, January 3rd on UNC-TV at 5 p.m.

Wired for Music
Heather Burgiss begins a two part series on the Wired for Music Project. The stories feature the work of Dr. Patricia Gray, Clinical Professor and Senior Research Scientist of BioMusicat the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Dr. Gray is conducting music workshops with middle school students to determine how music and learning are connected.
