North Carolina hosts 58 comprehensive community colleges. The system serves all of the state's 100 counties. Individual colleges have service areas that may include one or several counties. Students may apply to institutions of their choice, regardless of their counties of residence.

The North Carolina Community College system is an excellent resource that supports economic development throughout the state by offering classes and training in a wide variety of skills and subjects.
