The Birds for Christmas
(NARRATIVE – 19 minutes, 50 seconds)

An adaptation of a New Yorker short story by Mark Richard.  Two young boys are stuck in a charity hospital during the Christmas holidays.  As the ward slowly empties of the other patients, the boys seek to hide their fears and loneliness by asking to be allowed to stay up late to watch Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film The Birds for Christmas.

Charlie Holden
produced The Birds for Christmas as his thesis project for his MFA degree from UNC-Greensboro.  He currently works as a free-lance videographer in Greensboro while working on scripts for future projects.
