In early 1996, when Campbell began writing fiction for the first time, she relaxed after writing by shooting video outdoors randomly and dancing in her studio.  Pulses is a videodiary of that time – her 50 days of writing, with support from some of the other patrons of a residential artists’ community in Virginia, including a 95-year-old painter and a classical composer.
