(DOCUMENTARY – 13 minutes)

Set in Fayetteville, NC, For the Sense of It: Explorations of the Human Spirit chronicles four artists’ residencies for the Arts Council of Fayetteville and Cumberland Counties.  Outstanding segments feature blind children creating pottery, residents of two group homes performing Shakespeare, and spinal-injury victims shooting photographs.

Filmmaker Profile: ANDREA DEGETTE

Andrea DeGette
graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.  She has written, directed and produced short films which have been widely screened at art venues, and has worked as an art director on feature-length films including Sleepwalk, a film shot by noted director Jim Jarmusch.
