A film character discovers freedom can be dangerous. A man trapped inside a film projector escapes by kicking in the lens. Free at last, he feels anger toward the projector and a sense of wonder about the world around him. Soon he discovers his shadow, affirming the reality of his existence. After creating shadow puppets, he accidentally pulls the projector's chord, triggering a blackout.
