"Two Rivers"

(Narrative – 92 minutes)

"Two Rivers" follows one man’s search for truth along the Ganges and Mississippi Rivers. Amid the urban setting of Chicago and the natural landscapes of India, the currents of these rivers provide a mythic journey, creating a surreal world where Hindu goddesses mingle with Elvis impersonators.

Filmmaker

Joshua Gibson is the acting assistant director of the Duke University Film and Video program. He studied at Duke as an undergraduate before receiving a master’s of fine arts in filmmaking from the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago. He has written and directed work that traverses a gamut of genres - from experimental to documentary to narrative. This project, currently in post-production, is produced by Nancy Norton and is sponsored by the North Carolina Humanities Association.
