Joyce Ventimiglia lives and works in Durham. Of making "Lena" Ventimiglia says, "I like to talk to [Lena] and hear her stories, and that’s where this movie came from. Sometimes she tells me things the same way on different days and I’ve tried to make those repetitions a part of this film. Her voice sounds like music to me."
