"Mama’s Magic" (Docu-Poetry – 39 minutes)
Filmmaker Debra Roberts has been involved in multicultural theatre and dance for over 25 years. In 1997, she moved to Asheville and had a series of dreams about making a feature length film in North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, Roberts met Glenis Redmond and, alongside Scott Dobbins and Shane Peters at A New Light Productions in Asheville, created the documentary "Mama’s Magic". Since then, Roberts has produced other documentaries through her non-profit company, Heron Productions. Currently she creates television spots, called Little Pearls, that promote inspiring people and great thoughts. |
