"A Step Removed"

(Experimental/Narrative – 10 minutes)

A Step RemovedAt a one-hour photo store in Cary, a South Asian woman waits outside for her rolls of film to be printed. While she waits, her mind processes the pictures. Interweaving still photography and live-action sequences, as well as sounds of Bombay and Cary, "A Step Removed" engages the boundaries between past and present, East and West, photograph and film.
