"Secret Lives of Art Supplies"

When the art teacher is away, the art supplies will play! Paint, scissors, glue, and clay run amok in the art room in this spirited, clay-animated romp. Stop frame animation by 45 eighth graders armed with little more than an Apple computer created this live action/animation mix that answers the age-old question of why art rooms can never stay clean.

Filmmaker

Martha Garrett is a middle school art teacher at St. Pius X School in Greensboro. She received her MFA from Tulane University, and with her husband, Michael Frierson, has produced clay-animated films for Children's Television Workshop and Nickelodeon.
