"Flowers and Freckle Cream"

(Narrative – 19 minutes)

Picture from  Flowers and Freckle Cream - little girl playing with a rope swingAfter years of taunts from her older brother, Elizabeth will do just about anything to get rid of the curse of fair skin and red-hair – a face full of freckles. Flowers and Freckle Cream explores the insecurities of a young 1940’s-era country girl, who, with a little help from her wise old grandpa, accepts her freckle-faced fate and truly blossoms.

 

Filmmaker

A native of Western North Carolina, David attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for two years, completing general studies with a focus on communications and drama. In addition to directing Flowers and Freckle Cream, David concentrated in post-production at the North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking, where he graduated in May 2000. He is currently developing a feature film, which he has written and hopes to direct in the near future.
