This short documentary shares an energetic, quirky and thought-provoking look at the secret lives of several individuals among thousands of an entire growing counter-culture: DUMPSTER DIVING! Ranging from a teenage boy hunting through electronics for spare parts to a working mom and dad hoping to score antiques, collectibles, and everyday family necessities, the stars of Techies, Trashers, & Tightwads will let you in on their sometimes gross, sometimes shocking, but always profitable pastime.

Filmmaker

Zach Weddington graduated with a bachelor’s degree in film from The University of the Arts in 1999. This is his first attempt at documentary filmmaking, but certainly not his first adventure in dumpster diving! Zach currently lives in Raleigh where he works as a freelance editor and videographer.

Co-director Zoe Haley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in film and media arts from Temple University and is currently working on several scripts in Raleigh, NC.
