Remembering 1898…Moving Forward TogetherConceived through a combination of the preservationist spirit and social activism of the Wilmington, NC area, this documentary shares a "before and after" look at cultural diversity and minority inclusion in this historic city. Beginning with a brief history of the racial massacre and coup d'etat that occurred in Wilmington during November of 1898, this local-interest documentary tracks the impressive, present-day community efforts of the 1898 Foundation and their intent to incorporate their commemoration of the 100th anniversary of this historic event into a catalyst for racial healing and reconciliation.
