Dead Write

A group of publishing house employees are assigned the task of finding a missing manuscript in the cluttered apartment of a dead mystery writer. Their search for the book yields a surprising discovery and reveals a devious plot underlying the late author’s eccentric existence. She published.  She perished.  And so may those who learn her secret.

Michael Corbett began working in the film Industry in 1969. He started his career at KOTV in Tulsa as a news cameraman. He currently resides in Yanceyville, NC and works as the director of the Film and Video Production Technology Program at Piedmont Community College. Corbett’s credits include the position of line producer on the feature film Captiva Island and as director of lighting on the feature film The Student Affair (Lay Of The Land) with Sally Kellerman.

• Dead Write is a cooperative production between Piedmont Community College and UNC-Greensboro. The two colleges shared the cost of the production.
• Dead Write’s award-winning script was written by UNC-Greensboro professor Dr. Emily Edwards. 
• Michael Corbett came to North Carolina in January of 2000 to direct the Film and Video Production Technology program at Piedmont Community College.
