The experimental short Bus Stop examines the plight of a retail worker who, struggling with money and ruled by the clock, wonders if he'll ever escape his routine.

Filmmaker Profile: Josh Mahan

Born in Greensboro, NC's Moses Cone Hospital in 1981, Josh Mahan has lived in North Carolina all his life.  Growing up he always had an interest in special effects, as well as art and design.  He won the Scholastic Gold Key Award for art in middle school and went on to study college level art in high school.  He involved himself in many projects including band promotion, web design, music, furniture design, fashion design/screen printing, sculpture and graphic design.  In college Mahan decided to study filmmaking because it encompassed so many aspects of different art forms.  Bus Stop is his first film.  He currently studies filmmaking at UNC-Greensboro, and is also in the process of making his second animated film.
