The Notebook
(NARRATIVE, 10 minutes, 35 seconds)

The NotebookThe Notebook shares the story of a lonely young man who discovers a notebook in a tree. He decides to return the notebook to its owner, but, upon arriving, is so taken with the young lady who it belongs to that he keeps the notebook and takes her picture instead.  Through his encounters with this mystery woman he becomes more obsessed with her and less involved with his own friends. Eventually he decides to return the notebook, but can he really do it?

Filmmaker Profile:  Jefferson Loftfield

Jefferson K. Loftfield was born and raised in Wilmington, NC.  He graduated from Cape Fear Academy as Salutatorian in 1996.  He received a BA in English with a second major in Media Studies and Production from UNC- Chapel Hill in 2000.  Upon graduating he returned to Wilmington to pursue a career in filmmaking, working on several low budget independent films.  In 2002, he became a partner in the burgeoning Wilmington production company AMVF.  Jeff is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Video Production at UNC-Greensboro.
