Roadside Convenience follows the lives of three people as they collide one night at a lonely gas station in the middle of nowhere.  A woman on the run from her abusive husband, a wannabe gangster, and a disgruntled store clerk are all in desperate need of some cold, hard cash.  Three people, one safe, everyone has a reason.  Sharing is not an option…

Filmmaker Profile: Kern Saxton

Kern has written, directed and contributed to dozens of short films, beginning in 1999 with Won't Get Fooled Again, which won awards for Best Screenplay and Best Comedy at the North Carolina School of the Arts Summer Session.  In the summer of 2003, he was a directing intern on the television show Strong Medicine.  Kern graduated from North Carolina School of the Arts in May 2004 with a B.F.A in Filmmaking with an emphasis on directing.
