The Fourteenth ShopAl and Milly McCanless went from Chapel Hill hippies in the 1960's, to farmers, to successful potters, and raised a family along the way. This Jim Sharkey documentary provides a closer look into the life of one of Seagrove, North Carolina's traditional pottery families.

 

Filmmaker Profile:  JIM SHARKEY

Jim Sharkey is an independent documentary producer who lives in Brunswick, Maine. He has completed six documentaries on North Carolina potters while living in Asheboro, North Carolina. Since moving to Maine in 2001, Sharkey has made Penobscot Basket Maker, a documentary on Native American basket maker Barbara Francis, and Hard Work, a documentary about 19 th century Maine women industrial workers.
