Mary's Gone WildMary's Gone Wild explores the magical garden of Mary's Gone Wild Folk Art and Doll Baby Museum where locals brings truckloads of items otherwise destined for the landfill to visionary artist Mary Paulsen who then transforms them from trash to treasure with faith, humor and bright paint. Never did anyone have more fun recycling, and all to help feed hungry children. Located in Holden Beach, NC, Mary is becoming well-known and well-loved for her paintings on the reverse side of old glass windows.

Filmmaker Profile:  BLAIRE JOHNSON

After a lifetime of exploring mediums in the fine arts, Blaire Johnson joined Professor Peter Fulton to document the lives and stories of second-generation youth in Fulton's “Growing-Up Hyphenated” program at Duke University. Johnson has studied documentary filmmaking for three years, and Mary's Gone Wild is Johnson's first solo project. Johnson attended Syracuse University, The Fashion Institute of Technology, and The State University of New York at New Paltz.
