one thousand and one is an experimental animated short completed under the guidance of University of North Carolina at Asheville Professor Lei Han as part of her course in Multimedia Design. It is an attempt by the filmmaker Joe Bowers to convince himself that time is an illusion by presenting a single moment in 1001 different ways and 1001 different moments, simultaneously.

Joe Bowers is a digital media student living and working in Western North Carolina. His body of work includes interactive pieces, network and algorithmic artworks, digital print images, digital media theoretic works and commercial online interactive systems.
